WEEK ONE
Tuesday 22 April
Kite making and flying
Visit Cruden Farm to make and fly your very own kite. Imagine what it would be like to fly up in the sky with the birds. Observe the different birds on the lake and in the gardens that call this magnificent property their home.
WEEK TWO
Tuesday 29 April
Benefits of Butterflies
Discover how these beautiful insects are beneficial in a garden. Observe these winged wonders busy at work. Create a very hungry caterpillar. Attempt to locate the various stages of a butterfly lifecycle in the gardens at Cruden Farm.
WEEK THREE
Tuesday 6 May
Autumn splendour at Cruden Farm
Locate and name the colours of Autumn. Consider why some trees loose their leaves. Make an autumn-leaf crown. Toss leaves into the air to be caught by the wind and carried away. Breathe fresh air and enjoy relaxing story time under an old majestic Autumn tree.
WEEK FOUR
Tuesday 13 May
Learn about the lifecycle of ‘fantastic frogs’
What is a healthy environment for frogs? Examine tadpoles at Cruden farm. Make your favourite green and spotty frog with googly eyes made from natural seed pods found on a treasure hunt in nature.
WEEK FIVE
Tuesday 20 May
Wacky water play
Share floating and sinking games. Create a boat that will float on the lake using items found on a wander in nature. Why is water important? Where does it come from?
WEEK SIX
Tuesday 27 May
Navigating natural shelters.
Make a cubby in the gardens using straw, sticks and rocks, just like in the fairytale, ‘The 3 little pigs’. Construct your own ‘banksia pig’ using items found in nature to re-tell this classic fable.

Adults and babies (under 14 months) are free if attending with a paying sibling.
