WEEK ONE

Wednesday 19th July

Meet ‘Betty and Basil our Beneficial Bats’

Locate the trees where these beneficial little micro-bats live that call the Mornington Peninsula home. Learn how to construct a backyard bat box.

Make and decorate a ‘bat hat’, play bat games. Walk the boardwalk at Balcombe Estuary Recreational Reserve in Mount Martha.

WEEK TWO

Wednesday 26th July

Delight in a ‘Dinosaur Discovery Day’

Learn about these prehistoric creatures that lived 115 million years ago.

Examine particular species that existed locally. Locate natural materials that remain from the dinosaur era. Romp and stomp your way across rugged terrain, retracing dinosaur footsteps. Construct a habitat for dinosaurs at Beauty Park in Frankston.

WEEK THREE

Wednesday 2nd August

Practice ‘Permaculture for kids’

Discover the secrets of soil. Dig for wiggly worms in the earth.

Feed compost critters delicious fruit and vegetable scraps. Be super snail snoopers and beneficial bug hunters at ‘Joy of the Earth’ Community Garden in Frankston.

WEEK FOUR

Wednesday 9th August

Wander on a ‘Wombat Walk’

Explore native bush-land and look for evidence of animal scats and tracks.

Help to make a huge Wombat Stew. Discover Ellie and Evan Echidna’s habitat and ‘antics’ they’re involved in! Create a cozy habitat suitable for a little ‘puggle’ at the Briars in Mount Martha

WEEK FIVE

Wednesday 16th August

Help by being ‘Habitat Heroes’.

Learn from the local green team how trees are life giving!

Experience being a natural reserve ranger for the morning. Plant habitat for swamp skinks in the beach dunes, help create a haven for our native birds, fauna & insects along the Frankston-Seaford foreshore.

WEEK SIX

Wednesday 23rd August

Enjoy ‘Wonderful Winter’ fun in the sun

Come ‘ice-blocking’ down a big hill and experience invigorating winter fun without snow!


FEES

  • Cost for the 1st child - $150 for 6 weeks

  • 2nd, 3rd, 4th siblings from the same family - $84 each for 6 weeks

  • Adults and babies (under 14 months) are free if attending with a paying sibling.
