Week 1

Tuesday 4 February.   

Farming fun and Agricultural adventures!                                                                                                   

Visit Cruden Farm and play some heritage children’s games Dame Elisabeth Murdoch played as a girl, that have had a long and enduring history.  Investigate the different types of food still growing in the garden and paddocks on this magnificent property.

Week 2

Tuesday 11 February. 

Yogalates at Cruden Farm.

Learn the ABC’s of yoga with children. Find and pot up an acorn, make an oak-leaf crown.  

Breathe fresh air and enjoy relaxing story time under an old majestic oak tree.

Week 3

Tuesday 18 February 

Discover mythical creatures that live at Cruden Farm.

Come exploring through mystical bushland, home to many creatures including magical ones! 

Make shelters and gardens for the bush fairies, elves and pixies that live at Cruden Farm, using found natural items. 

Week 4.

Tuesday 25 February

Ponding for ‘creek critters’ at Cruden Farm.

Use a dip-net to catch, examine and identify some aquatic macro invertebrates. 

Make your favourite ‘water bug’ from seed pods found on a treasure hunt in nature. 

Week 5

Tuesday 4 March

Learn Cruden Farm’s beekeeping secrets.

Observe bees busy at work collecting pollen and nectar from the garden, taste the honey from their hives and make some ‘honey hand-cream’. Learn how bees benefit us, sing bee songs, play buzzy games and dance the ‘waggle dance’.

Exciting Easter antics

Share Easter games and discover why the Australian Easter Bilby is so special. Create an Easter Bilby or Bunny picture using items found in nature. Find evidence that the Easter bunny loves visiting Cruden Farm!

Payment Details

Cost for the 1st child - $150 for 6 weeks
2nd, 3rd, 4th siblings from the same family - $84 each for 6 weeks
Adults and babies (under 14 months) are free if attending with a paying sibling.

Registration and Attendance

Please refer to PROGRAM for term plan outlining dates and venues.

Kids immune systems are healthier if they have exposure to fresh air all weather, all seasons! In the event of rain, activities run as scheduled. If weather is deemed extreme or unsafe, families will be notified of an alternative venue. Please wear weather appropriate clothing, long pants and enclosed toe shoes. BYO water and healthy snack, insect repellent, hand sanitiser, sunscreen, a picnic and rug, brollies, coats, hats, gumboots for puddle fun.

Terms and Conditions:

ALL children who attend the program over 14 months of age must be registered. Due to the need for staffing of this program, forward planning applying for minor-event permits, the progressive nature of sessions and the need to monitor group sizes, casual attendance is not an option. Commitment is for the full program. Families can share their registration with other families in the event of ill health. Sessions are fully transferrable (i.e. send another family to attend in your place on the SAME day, at the same venue and at the same time you are absent to ensure correct participant ratio) however sessions are not refundable. Please notify Narelle of your absence. Due to number restrictions, we ask you adhere to attend the time of the session you have registered for.

Adults are responsible for the supervision (and first aid if required) of their own children at all times. Adult participation is encouraged in this healthy and happy ‘early years’ outdoor education program.

If unwell please stay home.  Sessions are fully transferrable to another family. Can send another family in your absence.
